Konsiliarlabor für respiratorische Syncytialviren (RSV), Parainfluenzaviren (PIV) und humane Metapneumoviren (HMPV)

Für die Erreger RSV, PIV und HMPV wird im Rahmen der KL-Tätigkeit an der Entwicklung bzw. Verbesserung diagnostischer Verfahren gearbeitet. Basierend auf der Sequenzierung und weiterführenden molekularen Analysen können Aussagen zum Genotyp/genetischen Linie (Typisierung), zur Genomveränderung oder genetischen Variabilität getroffen werden. Epidemiologische Analysen tragen zum Verständnis von Veränderungen in der Erregerpopulation oder zur Aufklärung von epidemischen Prozessen bei. Das Führen einer Stammsammlung ermöglicht die Abgabe von Referenzstämmen.
