The Bundesgesundheitsblatt - Gesundheitsforschung - Gesundheitsschutz (Federal Health Bulletin - Health Research - Health Protection) is a monthly health science journal whose editorial office is located at the Robert Koch Institute. The publishers are the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI), the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

The journal covers all issues and areas of public health and public health policy (including basic medical-biological research, health promotion, risk prevention, health economics, medical ethics, and medical law). Responsible for the conceptual design is an editorial advisory board consisting of representatives of the publishing institutes and independent scientists and experts. The members of this board determine the monthly main topic and design its content. In addition, original papers and reviews are published regularly and can be freely submitted to the editorial office. All papers will be peer-reviewed. A section at the end of each issue contains official announcements of the publisher institutes.

The journal is listed in major international databases. Most of the articles are Open Access and therefore freely accessible.
