Health situation in Germany during the COVID-19 pandemic. Developments over time for selected indicators of GEDA 2019/2020 – An update

Special Issue S3/2022 refers to an earlier article on the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the health situation of the adult population (Damerow et al., J Health Monit 4/2020) and presents the further development of the indicators over time.

By continuing the data collection of the study German Health Update (GEDA 2019/2020) until January 2021, the existing results will be expanded with focus on the third pandemic phase (second wave of infection, successive reintroduction of containment measures). Changes in health status, health behaviour, utilisation of health services and assistance at home are examined. The survey period allows a comparison of the periods before and since the pandemic situation.
