Health and health care of women aged 50 years and older – Results of the research project Frauen 5.0

Issue 2/2020 of the Journal of Health Monitoring reports on the results of the research project Frauen 5.0, which focuses on the health and health care of women aged 50 years and older.

The first Focus article in the issue describes the gynaecological conditions that affect women aged 50 years and older over time, and possible reasons for gynaecological appointments.

The second Focus article analyses the utilisation of gynaecological and general medical services by middle-aged and older women.

In addition, two Fact sheets examine the barriers for women aged 50 years and older to accessing health care in Germany as well as the demographic situation of the female population in Germany’s north east region.
