The national immunization schedule is developed by STIKO, and an updated version is usually published once a year (usually in August) in the Epidemiological Bulletin of the Robert Koch Institute. Besides the routine immunization schedule, STIKO also recommends vaccinations for specific indications or target groups. Please find the English version of the STIKO recommandations below.
Background papers and the scientific rationales are available for the more recent specific recommendations issued since 2006 in German language. According to the new methodology of STIKO, since 2013 the background paper are published in English and are listed below.
