Invitation to Register: RKI Initiative in the EU Thematic Networks 2024

Following the successful final vote on the EU Health Policy Platform (EUHPP) for the Thematic Networks 2024 proposal "Profiling Cancer Genomes using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) – Methodologies for Hotspot Identification", the team from the Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Public Health Research at the Robert Koch Institute is excited to launch this new initiative.

The initiative leverages AI and NLP to analyze cancer genomes with the aim of identifying genomic hotspots that impact cancer development, progression, and treatment response. By utilizing these advanced technologies, we seek to enhance the precision and speed of detecting significant genetic alterations, deepen our understanding of cancer’s molecular mechanisms, and provide new insights into its progression.

We invite experts in artificial intelligence, genetics, and public health to join the Network “NLPCGen. Natural Language Processing for Cancer Genomics” and actively engage in this initiative. Your specialized knowledge will be vital for addressing major challenges in cancer research and developing innovative solutions.

The Network on the EU Health Policy Platform will be presented in a webinar on the 27th of September 2024. Register now and join this webinar to discover how NLP can revolutionize cancer genome research and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field.

For more information on the webinar registration and on how to participate in the network, please contact the network leaders, PD Dr. Georges Hattab and Dr. Bahar İlgen, at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Public Health Research via email at zki-ph@rki.de, or connect through the EU Health Policy Platform.
