ZV 6: Organisation and Quality Management

The Unit unites the two sub-units Organisation and Quality Management.

The Organisation sub-unit is in charge of elaborating and implementing organisational development measures and measures to optimise the organisational structure and workflow management.

Permanent tasks include the adjustment of the schedule of responsibilities and the organisation chart, the rules of procedure and other procedural regulations for special business processes and the introduction of specialist procedures. Projects include, amongst other things, the further development of the document management and transaction processing system and the records management, the building up of an employee suggestion scheme (idea management) and the development and need-based advice on agile and classical project management. The structural upgrading of the social intranet portal and the development of knowledge management are additional projects of this unit.

The Quality Management sub-unit is responsible for the development and maintenance of the quality management system at RKI. The QM system is based on the eight fundamental QM principles: customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management. The tasks range from accreditations of laboratories according to DIN guidelines to satisfaction analyses for the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the QM system at RKI.
