Federal Health Reporting

Federal Health Reporting (Gesundheitsberichterstattung des Bundes, GBE) continuously supplies data and information on the German population's state of health and the country's healthcare services. It covers a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from diseases, symptoms and risk factors to subjective well-being and health-related quality of life, utilisation of preventive and healthcare services as well as the structures and costs of healthcare systems.

Journal of Health Monitoring

The Journal of Health Monitoring provides the latest scientific information about population health in Germany. It is published by the Federal Health Reporting (Gesundheitsberichterstattung des Bundes, GBE) at the Robert Koch Institute. This journal is published quarterly in English and German. All articles published in the Journal of Health Monitoring are peer-reviewed and freely accessible online.

Health in Germany

Health in Germany provides a comprehensive overview of population health and health services, recording any developments over the past years: How good is our health? What are the factors affecting health? What is the health service doing in the fields of prevention and health promotion? How have supply and demand in healthcare changed? How much do we spend on our health? How can patients obtain information and take part in decisions? The Health Reports for Germany are compiled jointly by the Robert Koch Institute and the Federal Statistics Office.

Today there are over 35 million adult women living in Germany with very diverse life situations. Factors in scope here include age, education, occupation, income, family form and cultural background all of which have an impact on their health. The ‘Health Situation of Women in Germany’ report provides comprehensive and up-to-date information on the health status, health behaviour and health care of women in Germany. Information on women of all age groups is provided and one chapter is especially devoted to the health of girls. The introduction and the executive summary of the report are available as PDF documents in English.
