Careers at the Robert Koch Institute

Germany's national public health institute, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), is the primary agency for monitoring and maintaining the health of people living in Germany. Its main responsibilities include prevention and control of infectious diseases, as well as the analysis of public health trends. Among RKI's hallmarks are professional and systematic exchange of knowledge, international cooperation and the establishment of networks. One of the RKI's key characteristics is identifying and mastering new challenges.

We are always seeking qualified and committed personnel to join us as we pursue these aims.

Around 1,150 people from about 90 different professions work for the RKI. Among them are scientists from a wide range of disciplines, medical documentation and IT specialists, technical and medical assistants, animal care specialists, administrative staff and many more.
