Health care 100 years after Robert Koch - 27th May to 2nd June 2010

Robert Koch died one hundred years ago on the 27th May, 1910. He is considered, together with the French scientist Louis Pasteur, to have been the Father of Microbiology. The Robert Koch Institute, in collaboration with the Robert Koch Foundation, the Senate Chancellery of Berlin and the German Research Foundation, will be celebrating this golden age of medical research and looking to the future challenges facing health care with a week-long festival starting on the 27th May, 2010. The event “The Life and Works of Robert Koch” will mark the start of the festivities.
