Meet the Pioneers of "Digital Epidemiology" at This Summer’s Robert Koch Colloquium

On July 5th, the last lecture of this year’s Robert Koch Colloquium is given: Ciro Cattuto from the Scientific Director, ISI Foundation, Turin talks about "High resolution contact networks: from sensor data to targeted interventions". The lecture takes place at the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin Wedding and starts at 4.15 pm. It will be held in English.
The Robert Koch Colloquium is a new and from now on annual event by RKI discussing innovative scientific issues. This year’s topic is “Digital Epidemiology”, an emergent, trans-disciplinary and rapidly growing research field which integrates methods of bioinformatics, modern network theory, machine learning, Big Data analytics and high performance computing in the context of public health and which expands traditional approaches. These new techniques rely – amongst other things – on stringent research data management in order to provide data and make them usable for the future. The colloquium will host a set of six internationally recognized speakers from the U.S., Great Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark and Germany who have made major contributions to the field of digital epidemiology.
RKI will stream all lectures live on periscope - just follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/rki_de) or directly on periscope (https://www.pscp.tv). The lectures are available until 12.07.2017.
