Library at the Robert Koch Institute
The Robert Koch Institute has sectoral libraries at all its locations: the library in Berlin-Nordufer 20, in Berlin-General-Pape-Str.62, in Berlin-DGZ-Ring 1 and in Wernigerode.
The library collects literature in accordance with the focal work areas of the Institute. The historical stock from the time of Robert Koch is unique.
Approximately 100,000 stock units, encompassing books and periodical volumes as well as a large number of electronic magazines, are available to the staff.
A use by external visitors is possible, but only subject to appointment by phone or email (Library)! The library stocks can only be consulted on site. Lending outside the Institute is not possible.
Directions for use
- External visitors should mention their literature wishes already when making an appointment, since in particular older volumes of periodicals must be made available from the depot.
- Lending of books or periodicals outside the Institute is not possible.
- PC workplaces and connection possibilities for laptops are available.
- Library users are responsible for complying with existing copyright and privacy provisions when copying or duplicating books and other materials. In the event of loss or damaging of books and other library holdings, damages must be paid.
