The European MSM Internet Survey (EMIS) is so far the largest study on men who have sex with men ever conducted, with more than 180,000 participants from 38 countries in Europe. The scientific coordination was carried out at Robert Koch Institute. EMIS was a joint project of academic, governmental, non-governmental, and social online media partners from 35 European countries (EU and neighbouring countries) to inform European prevention planning for a group highly affected by infections with HIV and other sexually transmitted infrections (STIs): gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM).

In August 2011, the website of the EMIS project has been moved to the below mentioned link.
