Neben dem Global-Health-Programm des BMG, dem deutschen Biosicherheitsprogramm des Auswärtigen Amtes und dem europäischen Medizincorps ist das Robert Koch-Institut an einer Reihe weiterer internationaler Forschungsprojekte und Kooperationen beteiligt, darunter:

BRIDGE Health – European Core Health Indicators Monitoring

Logo of BRIDGEHEALTHEvidence-based public health policy needs solid data and health information derived from valid and comparable sources. The European Community Health Indicators (ECHI) initiative responded to the European Commission’s call to establish a set of public health indicators for the EU. In previous EU-funded projects (ECHI-1, ECHI-2, ECHIM-1, ECHIM-JA), a core set of public health indicators was developed, and its implementation was initiated.

EHIS – European Health Interview Survey

Die europäische Gesundheits­befragung (European Health Interview Survey, EHIS) ist in vier Themen­bereiche untergliedert: Gesundheits­zustand (nach eigener Einschätzung), Gesundheits­versorgung, Gesundheits­determinanten sowie Hintergrund­variablen zur Demografie und zum sozio­ökonomischen Status. Ziel ist es, möglichst weitgehend vergleichbare Ergebnisse aus den Mitgliedstaaten zu erhalten.

EMERGE – Efficient response to highly dangerous and emerging pathogens at EU level

EMERGE Logo. Source: RKIEMERGE is an EU funded Joint Action (JA), CHAFEA n° 677 066, coordinated by the Robert Koch-Institut (RKI), Germany, and carried out in close cooperation with 35 Associated Partners and 3 Collaborating Partners from 25 European countries.This Joint Action started in June 2015 and is running for 36 months, Total costs: 5.833.423 €, EU contribution: 3.500.054 €.

EMLab – Europäisches Mobiles Labor-Projekt

Logo EMLabDas Europäische Mobile Labor (EMLab) ist ein Speziallabor für hochpathogene Erreger, das in einem Ausbruchsgebiet aufgebaut und betrieben werden kann. Die Labore hat das Institut für Mikrobiologie der Bundeswehr in München konzipiert, die Koordination der Einsätze liegt beim Hamburger Bernhard-Nocht-Institut für Tropenmedizin. An dem Projekt sind Partner aus ganz Europa beteiligt, darunter auch das Robert Koch-Institut.

EuroBioTox

Logo of the EuroBioTox projectDas EU-Projekt EuroBioTox (European programme for the establishment of validated procedures for the detection and identification of biological toxins) hat das Ziel, sektorenübergreifend Qualitäts­sicherungs­maßnahmen im Bereich bio­lo­gischer Toxine zu entwickeln. Das Projekt, an dem 57 Ein­rich­tungen aus 23 Ländern beteiligt sind, wird vom RKI koordiniert.

ESTICOM – European Surveys and Trainings to Improve MSM Community Health

Logo of the project ESTICOMThe project combines three objectives: a European online survey among men who have sex with men (MSM; EMIS 2017); an online survey about practices, knowledge, attitudes and training needs of community health workers (CHW) who provide counselling, testing, and psychosocial care and support for MSM in EU countries (ECHOES); development and pilot testing of a training programme for MSM-focused community health workers intended to be adaptable for all EU countries.

EVD-Lab Net – Emerging Viral Diseases-Expert Laboratory Network

Logo EVD-Lab NetEVD-LabNet creates and maintains a (pro)-active and flexible network of European expert laboratories that are involved in patient diagnostics, and that support Public Health activities in liaison with research activities of (re)emerging viral diseases. The network continues the earlier collaboration "ENIVD".

GBD – Global Burden of Disease Studie

The framework of GBD was jointly developed by the WHO, the World Bank and the Harvard School of Public Health in the early 1990s with the aim to permit a first comprehensive and comparable evaluation of population health for all countries of the world. The possibility to compare disease burden over time and between countries provides valuable insights into intervention successes, failures as well as unfinished agendas and can also highlight emerging health threats.

I-MOVE+ – Integrated Monitoring of Vaccines in Europe

Logo of the project I-MOVE+I-MOVE+ has received a grant (May 2015 - Oct 2018) from the European Commission (H2020) to identify, pilot test, use, and disseminate the best study designs to measure, in near real time the effectiveness and impact of vaccines used in the elderly population to prevent influenza and pneumococcal infections.

NoDARS – Northern Dimension Antibiotic Resistance Study

The NoDARS project is designed to provide health-care professionals, authorities and policy makers with comparable data that accurately reflect antibiotic resistance levels and the penetration of antibiotic resistance in the healthy population. The project aims to investigate the levels of specified antimicrobial resistance at the selected locations in Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway Sweden, Poland and Russia in several separate work packages.

ODIN – Food-based solutions for optimal vitamin D nutrition and health through the life cycle

Logo ODIN, Studie zur Vitamin-D-Versorgung in EuropaODIN is an EU funded project that consists of a multi-disciplinary team of 30 partners from 18 countries, which commenced a 4-year program of research in November 2013. ODIN aims to provide high quality scientific evidence to prevent vitamin D deficiency in European citizens and improve nutrition and public health through food.

PRECEPT – Project on a Framework for Rating Evidence in Public Health

Ziel von PRECEPT ist es, eine Methodik zur Evidenzbewertung auf dem Gebiet der Epidemiologie, Kontrolle und Prävention von Infektionskrankheiten zu etablieren. Das Projekt wird vom Robert Koch-Institut koordiniert.

SPHERE-C – Sero-prevalence surveys of hepatitis C in Europe

The purpose of this project is to develop detailed technical protocols for undertaking HCV sero-prevalence surveys in the general population. The protocols will provide practical instructions on all relevant areas, ranging from sampling methods, specimen- and data collection and laboratory methods to confidentiality and ethical issues, quality control measures, data management and budgetary considerations.
